After "The Singers" won our Grand Prize Short Film award in 2025, and then went on to win in a tie for the live action short film Oscar @theacademy with another @filmquest 2025 winner (Best Foreign short) "Two People Exchanging Saliva," we asked them if they could send us a photo of the two golden trophies posed together, and boy did they deliver! One last massive congrats to both "The Singers" and "Two People Exchanging Saliva" on their history making wins and for elevating genre to even greater heights!

A HUGE Congratulations to all the 2026 Official Selections for the 13th edition of FilmQuest!

We had an incredible amount of submissions for a genre fest this season, with 2,942 films and screenplays submitted for consideration into this year’s festival. This was truly mountain of a task for us to program this year's lineup as we saw an insane amount of amazing films, talent voices, and filmmaker's we can't wait to see the future works of. We could go on all day talking about how fantastic and inspiring so many of your films are, and the absolutely bonkers talent that's on display. We were spoiled with riches, and we can't speak highly enough about the films we saw. Many, many films and screenplays barely (and we mean barely!) missed the cut, and while we truly wish we could double the amount of projects than we do, we hope that we can see you with us again in the future.

We can’t wait to welcome everyone to @downtownprovo @provocity and @velourlive who can make it to the festival from the @filmquest Class of 2026 and we can’t wait to see many of you in future classes as well! Remember, you are all the majesty and might of genre cinema, and without you none of what we do would be possible!
