SYNOPSIS: Nathan and Mirra are in no way close siblings. But their father’s passing means they must return to their old family farm to sell off the land. There, Nathan starts having vivid nightmares of a woman rising from the sea, feeling the same dread his father felt before his death. As Nathan spirals back into the addiction that caused the friction with his sister, Mirra is growing close to the very people the family exploited, giving way to a centuries-old secret regarding the land’s original owners.

DIRECTOR’S BIO: Elise Finnerty recently finalized her directorial feature which she wrote, produced, directed, and acted in during the height of the lockdown phase of the pandemic. After being chosen as the opening night After Hours film for CFF, it received the award for Best Feature by a First Time Director. Since signing with Jinga Films, a UK based sales agent, its international premiere was at Fright Fest in London and will continue its festival run from there. Her production company, Red Booth Productions, co-founded with her partner Estelle Girard Parks is home to award winning short films and theater. Their last short film, “The Hunt”, which Elise wrote and directed was the recipient of the Remi Award at Houston’s International Film festival and did the rest of its festival circuit in 2020. Her and her producing partner are in pre-production for her second horror feature titled, It Comes Back.
