DIRECTOR’S BIO: Maya Zupano, a London-based creative, director, writer, and actor is an alumna of Central Saint Martins. While her career started in commercials, her love for storytelling quickly led her into the world of filmmaking. Her previously recognised works include “Girl’s Biophilia” (2017), drawing attention from publications such as Dazed Beauty and i-D magazine. Later, her film, “When it Rains, it Pours” (2021), secured the honor of Best Original Story at the London Film Week film festival. In her most recent film, “Beautiful Things,” Zupano collaborated with her creative partner and screenwriter Jessica Riches, and producer Jamie-Louise Davis.
The film stars Tom Stourton (known for his roles in Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” and Yorgos Lanthimos’ “Poor Things”) and Tallulah Haddon (notable for her appearances in Ridley Scott’s “The Last Duel” and “Black Mirror”). This collaboration highlights Maya’s dedication to working alongside talented individuals to bring her visions to life. Currently, she is in the development phase of two new projects, including another short film and a feature film. Maya is represented by INSTITUTE Pictures.

He will next be seen as the lead of Warner Brothers’ upcoming comedy, The Parenting, opposite Lisa Kudrow and Brian Cox. As a writer, Nik started in stand-up comedy and made his late-night debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
He then went on to work in the political and non-profit world, writing and directing content for groups like MoveOn.org, Alicia Keys’ HIV/AIDS initiative, and various campaigns. Most recently, Nik was a co-producer of Life of Pi on Broadway and will serve as co-producer for the upcoming tour. In 2019, Dodani co-founded The Salon, an organization for South Asian artists and executives in entertainment dedicated to accelerating the community’s creative development in TV and film.
