DIRECTOR’S BIO: Born on a secluded animal farm at the top of Malibu’s infamous Mulholland Highway, Sam blends highly stylized imagery, music, and psychedelia with horror and genre cinema via her production company Foxy Films. In 2021, Sam wrote and directed “Bad Acid,” which won her Best Director at Nightmares Film Festival, Best Production Design at both FilmQuest and Be Afraid, and Best International Film at Phenomena Festival.
In 2023, Sam teamed up with MovieMaker Magazine to make the absurd horror-comedy, “Fck’n Nuts,” based on her experience growing up with her crazy family. “Fck’n Nuts” has screened at top tier genre festivals such as Fantastic Fest, Beyond Fest, and Brooklyn Horror and won Best Midnight Short at FilmQuest, Best Horror Comedy at Flickers Rhode Island, as well as the jury prize at Knoxville Horror. DIRECTOR’S BIO: Director Onur Doğan was born on October 27, 1991 in Istanbul. After graduating from Istanbul University, Radio, Cinema and TV Department, he completed his master’s degree in Marmara University, Department of Cinema. During these years, he undertook the editing of a feature film. Later, he worked as a music video director and assistant director in the advertising industry for a while. In 2017, he completed his first experimental short film, C.O.D., shot with the cinemagraph technique, in which he criticized modern working life. With this film, he was selected for many national and international festivals and received awards.
