Screenwriter’s Bio: Shiloh Nyce is an Indigenous female screenwriter and actor from the Haisla Nation on the northwest coast of Canada. Shiloh attended MacEwan University in Edmonton, AB, Canada, where she received a degree in Theatre Performance and then went on to receive a Bachelor’s Teaching Degree in Theater, Speech & Music from BYU-Idaho. Shortly after graduating she transitioned her stage practice to film. Realizing her indigenous culture could be kept alive through story, Shiloh then went on to write short films scripts, One Who Knows and Hear Him which were adapted from poignant personal dreams given to her. In late 2020, Shiloh was accepted to WIFTV’s Tricksters and Writers Program in Canada where she was instructed by fellow indigenous female filmmakers. Shortly after, One Who Knows was selected to be read live at the Vancouver International Women in Film Festival (VIWFF). Shiloh is currently working to direct and produce One Who Knows and adapt it into a children’s book. Presently, she lives in Midvale, UT with her husband and 3-year-old daughter.

Synopsis: In the wake of a family tragedy, a grieving widow must confront a dark presence lingering in their home.

Screenwriter’s Bio: Tyler Frugé is a screenwriter from Los Angeles, who writes supernatural mysteries rooted in fantasy, folklore, and horror. Born and raised along the Louisiana bayou, he grew up in a rural community known as Lafayette, an area rich with legend and myth. While his work is influenced by tales of mystical entities living in the dark swamps, they’re all rooted in personal, character-driven journeys; stories about people motivated by fear. In 2019 Tyler’s feature script, KINDRED SPIRITS, was in the top 20% of Austin Film Festival’s screenplay competition, and in 2020 became a finalist at The New Orleans Horror Film Festival with his short script, WHAT WE SEE. Earlier this year he completed yet another horror script called DECADENCE, and is currently in post-production on his latest short film, which will debut in 2022.
