Her previous award winning short film, HAWT YOGA, has received recognition for featuring some truly talented comedic women. She is passionate about casting minorities and women in her films as a black female director herself, but more than anything, she loves making people laugh. She also likes smoothies.

DIRECTOR’S / FILMMAKER’S BIO: Rebekah Fieschi is an award-winning writer/director from a tiny island in the south of France who makes peculiar fantasy and gothic horror films through her company Horromance Productions. Her new film, Sylphvania Grove, successfully crowdfunded on Seed&Spark and and will debut in film festivals later this year. Her previous, Mauvaises Têtes, is an award-winning reinvention of classic Hollywood horror films such as Frankenstein which was well received in film festivals around the world. Her focus is to bring more entertaining, yet layered, character driven gothic horror and fantasy films to the screen. Her career as a storyteller began as a small child, making up elaborate tales to tell her family and friends. This natural talent for make-believe and keen visual imagination, had by age eleven, led her to decide on a directing career. After studying filmmaking in Paris, Rebekah moved to New York in 2010. She is also an advocate of fair gender representation in cinema, she is known for giving nuanced voices to female characters and is part of a group of filmmakers seeking to transform the industry.

Trauma Industries is a science fiction film set in a 1950s propaganda inspired dystopia. Shot on 35mm, the film was made only using the techniques of the era.

DIRECTOR’S / FILMMAKER’S BIO: Jethro Massey is a British-French filmmaker living in Paris. His documentary work has taken him around the world working with everyone from ballerinas in the Bolshoi Theatre to clowns in the Malian savannah. His music videos for Hailey Tuck, Joon Moon, Liset Alea and Malody Linhart have won nominations and awards at numerous festivals, and his previous fiction film Shelter premiered at Paris Courts Devant in 2014. Trauma Industries is his last short.
