DIRECTOR’S BIO: Brea Grant is a filmmaker best known for her Emmy-nominated work on the Netflix series, EastSiders, and her directorial debut, the apocalyptic road trip film, Best Friends Forever. In 2019, she wrote and directed the dark comedy heist film, 12 Hour Shift, starring Angela Bettis and David Arquette. It premiered at Tribeca in 2020. A month later, she starred in the horror film, Lucky, which she also wrote, directed by Natasha Kermani, which premiered at SXSW in 2020. She started in the film industry as an actress on shows like Heroes, Friday Night Lights, and Dexter, as well as horror films like Halloween II and After Midnight.

DIRECTOR’S BIO: Derek Carl is a director and producer based out of New York, NY. He was born in Seattle, Washington, and studied Civil Engineering at Gonzaga University. But after graduating, Derek couldn’t help but pursue his passion for film, and later moved to Portland, Oregon where he began his filmmaking career. Derek is the co-founder of Portland-based Flagship Features, and the founder of New York-based Coalition Studios. The Brain That Wouldn’t Die is Derek’s feature length directing debut.

SYNOPSIS:Desperate for work, a young drifter applies for a job in a decrepit old mortuary . A looming old house that local children only speak of in whispers. DIRECTOR’S BIO: Ryan Spindell was raised in a crumbling haunted house on the forgotten coast of Maine, so as you can imagine, his social skills are top notch. Ryan’s natural inclination toward the arts, and his obsession with The Twilight Zone led him down the dark and twisted path from which he would never recover. After graduating with his masters from Florida State University, Ryan relocated to Los Angeles where he founded TRAPDOOR PICTURES, a boutique production company that specializes in “fun genre” content for film and television. Over the next several years, Ryan and his team made over a dozen short films including KIRKSDALE, THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM, WE COME IN PIECES and THE BABYSITTER MURDERS before shifting into feature-length films with THE MORTUARY COLLECTION. Most recently Ryan wrote and directed an episode of the horror anthology series 50 STATES OF FRIGHT for producer Sam Raimi, and is currently writing episodes for season two. In his spare time Ryan enjoys road trips, Junji Ito comics and (of course) horror movies. Ryan does not enjoy writing about himself in the third person.

DIRECTOR’SBIO: Neil has been working very successfully in both feature films and television industry since his feature debut “Dog Soldiers” in 2001. His second feature as both writer and director, “The Descent” 2005 was an even bigger critical and commercial hit, winning several awards including the BIFA for Best Director, and the Empire award for Best Horror. He followed this success with the post-apocalyptic action movie “Doomsday” 2008 and historical adventure “Centurion” 2010. In 2012 Neil made his debut in the world of high-end television with Game of Thrones S2 Ep9 “Blackwater”, and followed that up with S4 Ep9 “The Watchers on the Wall” for which he received an Emmy Nomination. Over the past 6 years, Neil has made a considerable name for himself, working in the network, cable and streaming arenas directing projects such as the pilot episodes of “Black Sails” for Starz, DC’s “Constantine” and “Timeless” both for NBC. Neil also directed notable episodes of “Hannibal” for Showtime and “Westworld” for HBO. Most recently, Neil developed, produced and directed the Netflix reboot of classic sci-fi series ‘Lost in Space”.

DIRECTOR’S BIO: BJ Verot is an award-winning writer/director/producer based in Winnipeg, Canada. He has just completed his first feature film, a sci-fi horror entitled The Return. The film stars Richard Harmon (the CW’s The 100), Echo Andersson, and Sara Thompson. His most recent short film, Echoes In The Ice, has screened around the world, most notably as part of the Telefilm: Not Short On Talent At Cannes Program at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. It also screened at the Toronto After Dark Festival and the Hollyshorts Film Festival. It has been acquired by DUST, a division of Gunpowder & Sky, and is currently viewable on their platforms.

Michael is also the founder of Witching Season Films, a horror film production company that specializes in producing Halloween-themed content year-round.
