For Shipwrecked Comedy he has directed the Streamy Award-nominated series Edgar Allan Poe’s Murder Mystery Dinner Party as well as Headless: A Sleepy Hollow Story. He works closely with the rock band Making Movies as a music video director and creative consultant.

Their 2018 film, Amazing Bagel, a comedy about a miscarriage, was an official selection of the 2019 Maryland Film Festival, Calgary International Film Festival and won the Audience Choice Award at the Nitehawk Shorts Fest. SYNOPSIS: An anthology horror and mystery series for TikTok, which presents urban legends, ghost stories and creepy occurrences from the Digital Age for a young adult audience. In this pilot episode, a boxing champion two days shy of competing for a world title, stumbles across a mysterious website that seemingly predicts her victory. But little does she know that the website holds other secrets about her future.

DIRECTOR’S BIO: Ryan Cauchi is an award-winning filmmaker from Sydney, Australia. The proud son of Maltese immigrants, he is the writer/director/producer of micro-movies (or, as he likes to call them, “micro scares”), films between 15-seconds and 5-minutes with a heavy emphasis on horror and dark fantasy themes. The most acclaimed of these have both screened at FilmQuest: the tech horror CUT OFF (2018) and WW2-era fantasy GOLEM(2020).
In the past two years, Ryan has expanded his creative output to TikTok, with pilots for anthology series MIDNIGHT STORIES and TALES FROM THE DARK WEB, and the upcoming Maltese-Australian horror drama GREYSTANES, based on his childhood in Western Sydney during the 1990s.
