DIRECTOR’S BIO: Jill Sachs is a Filipina-American filmmaker based in Los Angeles. She pours into her stories a signature cocktail, one-part dreams and a dash of obsolescence. From that potion… occasional ghosts may arise. She is still trying to cope with the degree to which time, space, and culture control and define us. Jill graduated from the American Film Institute in 2017 with an MFA in Directing. She wrote and directed her AFI thesis film, ‘The Liberty’, which premiered at the 2018 Ashland Independent Film Festival, and won a smattering of awards on the festival circuit. In the commercial world, Jill currently works as a Post Producer at Psyop. Previously, she graduated from the University of Chicago and supplemented her education by backpacking alone across five continents. Jill is interested in exploring the convergence of technology with classic storytelling, and enjoys toying with narrative mediums, and secretly experiments with XR.

With his unique blend of social commentary and songwriting, Hilliard collaborated with a number of musicians including The Dead Kennedy’s’ D.H. Peligro and Inger Lorre of The Nymphs and joined forces with Chevelle on making two music videos, one of which had its world premiere on MTV2.
Hilliard’s music video “Balls” featured Steve-O (Jackass) and worked with Jeordie White aka Twiggy Ramirez (Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle) to develop the recent release “Good Life”, which has been hailed by Billy Morrison (The Cult, Billy Idol) as “The most outrageous, wrong, socially unacceptable music video I’d ever seen – and that is what makes it UTTER GENIUS!”. Chester Bennington (Linkin Park, Dead by Sunrise, Stone Temple Pilots) “The Good Life is one of the best music videos I’ve ever seen.” Hilliard’s film credits include opening Paul Schrader’s Dog Eat Dog film staring Nicolas Cage and Willem Defoe. He also played the main antagonist officer Banks in Bernard Rose’s award winning film Frankenstein staring Danny Huston, Carrie-Anne Moss, Xavier Samuel and Tony Todd. Much of her work is inspired by her childhood experience believing in a self-proclaimed prophet, including her podcast TRUST ME, in which she interviews survivors of groups like NXIVM, the Manson Family, and Heaven’s Gate.
