SYNOPSIS: It has been eight years since the first Carlist War of 1833. In a small village in Alava, a government commissioner named Alfredo investigates an event that leads to a sinister blacksmith in the depths of the forest, where a dangerous and lonely blacksmith lives Patxi. Villagers in the area tell dark stories about him related to robberies, murders and demonic pacts. Until accidentally an orphan girl called Usue gets to sneak into the mysterious smithy, uncovering the terrible truth behind Patxi the Blacksmith.

DIRECTOR’S / FILMMAKER’S BIO: Paul Urkijo Alijo, 1984. Since he was a child he has interest in drawing and comics. He delved into the world of literature, comics and film, and has a predilection for fantasy. He started writing and directing his own short films. In 2008 he finished his degree in Fine Arts and began his professional career with a focus on audiovisual production, illustration and infographics.

DIRECTOR’S / FILMMAKER’S BIO: Emmy Nominated filmmaker Luciano Blotta has shot content for HBO, Netflix, PBS, CNN, BBC, Animal Planet, Bravo, UK Channel 4, Red Bull Media and may other networks while living and working in Los Angeles for the last 15 years. Born in Argentina , Blotta came to the United Sates with a scholarship to study filmmaking at the University of Miami and relocated to Los Angeles after graduation. It was there were he apprenticed with filmmaking mentors like John Woo, Steven Soderbergh, Ron Howard and Steven Spielberg, learning invaluable technical and aesthetic skills that he would soon put to practice in his own filmmaking.
