The following list is are the nominees for the 2019 FilmQuest Awards. The Awards, including the coveted FilmQuest Cthulhu Trophy, will be listed in full, along with the secret nominees, at the Closing Night Awards Ceremony on September 14th, 2019 at Velour Live Music Gallery in Downtown Provo, Utah. The 2019 FilmQuest Nominees are, as usual, filled with many more deserving films than can possibly win or be nominated. To the nominees, congratulations!
The following nominees were culled from a process that began with over 1,120 submissions to the 2019 festival. Each Feature Film category, unless otherwise noted, has 7 or 8 nominees. Each Short Film & Other category, unless otherwise noted, has 10 nominees. Every category, unless otherwise noted has a secret nominee (the 8th nominee for Features, and the 10th nominee for Shorts, etc.) that is announced at the Awards Ceremony. Meaning that if a film isn’t listed currently, that doesn’t mean it is not nominated. Many past winners at FilmQuest have been a secret nominee revealed at the Closing Night Awards Ceremony.
We hope that your nominations prove to be helpful to you in your festival and filmmaking journeys.
Congratulations to all the 2019 Award Nominees, and start spreading the word today! Use hashtags #filmquest #prepareforfantastic #filmquest2019 #thebestofthebest as you promote online!
