DIRECTOR’S BIO: An Emmy Award-winning editor, Andrews’ recent projects include the series Julie and the Phantoms (2020); the Sundance-debuting horror film Summer of ’84 (2018); and the upcoming Bron animated series Fables (2023). As director, his short films have screened at festivals including Sydney, Tribeca and Durban, winning the 20th Warner Roadshow Studios Queensland New Filmmakers Award and a nomination for the Tribeca Film Festival’s Student Visionary Award. His acclaimed photojournalism has taken him forty countries, including Afghanistan and North Korea, for publications as diverse as TIME, Foreign Policy and BBC World News.

Holmes has made his name producing on films including Anthem of a Teenage Prophet (2019); Distorted (2018); The Humanity Bureau (2018), starring Nicolas Cage; and The Recall (2017), starring Wesley Snipes. Holmes recently made his feature documentary directorial debut with Dolph (2023), an upcoming biographical documentary about action star Dolph Lundgren.

SYNOPSIS: In this solo animated feature by Denver Jackson, Natomi is living a fearful life in a post-apocalyptic world consumed by war, when her father, Terric, transports her to a magical world called Esluna. There, Natomi encounters the queen, Idena, who fears Natomi will take her place as ruler. Guided by her childhood companion, a stuffed bear named Miito and a mysterious old warrior, Bataar, Natomi must face Idena and find the god of this world, her father.

DIRECTOR’S BIO: Originally from Port Elizabeth, South Africa, Denver Jackson is a self-taught animator and visual effects artist who got his start making films in high school before emigrating to Canada with his parents. As a filmmaker, he leans heavily on the fantastical while still being grounded by real world characters and situations. He works in both live action and animated films, blending the conventions of both mediums to create his own unique style, and is known to write, direct, film, edit and animate almost entirely on his own.

THE WISHING JAR (2016) has screened around the world, including at three Academy Award-qualifying festivals and won Best Animated Film at both San Diego Comic Con International Film Festival and Heartland Film Festival, while his first animated short film CLOUDRISE (2013) cut through the 400 hours of content uploaded every minute on Vimeo to become a prestigious Vimeo Staff Pick. He wrote, directed and animated three feature length projects from a webseries (Esluna: The First Monolith) to two feature films (Esluna: The Crown of Babylon and Esluna: The Worlds Divide).

Inspired by Rod Serling, Brian enlisted in the US Army, deployed to Afghanistan, and later worked on HBO’s *Barry* and *Perry Mason*. DIRECTOR’S BIO: Racheal Cain grew up in Miami in the 90s, making VHS horror movies with the neighborhood kids. She attended Florida State University’s College of Motion Picture Arts where she earned a BA in film production with a major in screenwriting. Her first feature project, SOMNIUM, won First Place in the LA Screenplay Competition, was honed via the Big Vision Empty Wallet ‘Kickstart Diversity’ program, and was one of the 22 features awarded the 2022 film tax credit by the CA Film Commission, among projects by Steven Soderbergh and the Coen Brothers. In 2014, Racheal took to Instagram to transparently document her journey of getting the film made “from scratch” and, to this day, continues to share the experience with thousands. Racheal resides in Austin, TX, where she works as a director and production designer for clients including Apple, Netflix and HBO. She has a soft spot for all things sci-fi and spooky.
