DIRECTOR’S / FILMMAKER’S BIO: Chris Rodgers is a Utah native. He studied film at the University of Utah with a main focus on screenwriting. His short films have played at festivals across the country and have been nominated for numerous awards. Recently, one of his feature length screenplays was acquired by a prolific independent studio with a renowned horror director attached.

SYNOPSIS: High in the mountains, a woman’s dying screams echo through the forest. A lone painter witnesses and recounts what he saw of her death.

DIRECTOR’S / FILMMAKER’S BIO: Steven Uribe is a 17 year old filmmaker from Salt Lake City, Utah. Dead Air is Steven’s directorial debut and was created in Spy Hop’s PitchNic film program.

I LOVE MY ROBOT BOYFRIEND!

SYNOPSIS: Plagued by the tantalizing and elusive idea of true love, Shelly, a teen queen science extraordinaire, sets out to create herself the perfect robot boyfriend. When she succeeds, however, she has to deal with the consequences of his so-called “perfection.”

DIRECTOR’S / FILMMAKER’S BIO: Ronen is a French/Israeli writer & director currently based in London. With a background in English literature and creative writing, he began freelancing as a filmmaker and a creative in Amsterdam. With a growing interest in film and a drive to tell stories, he enrolled for a master at the London Film School, where he got to work and collaborate on dozens of productions. He is now in post-production for his graduation film ‘Musing’ and working as a producer on several other projects.

SYNOPSIS: In a time of global turmoil, scientists Clay and Terra have left society to build a machine that will regenerate all human life. However, when this machine begins to make their daughter sick, Clay is forced to choose between his family and the fate of the world.

SYNOPSIS: When Dresca – an injured imperial pilot – is rescued by rebels after the Battle of Endor, she must choose between her loyalty to the Empire and the kindness of strangers she once thought of as monsters.

DIRECTOR’S / FILMMAKER’S BIO: Jessica Champneys is a 24 year-old filmmaker based in Salt Lake City, Utah. While she has worn many hats to bring her films to light, she prefers to work as a writer, director, and editor. When she isn’t working on her own projects, she works as an associate producer at Usana Studios, and as a video editor and VFX artist for Digital Pressworks. She loves to craft dark and emotionally impacting stories while cuddling with her collection of adorable stuffed animals.
